Elounda is a very popular seaside
resort on the northern coast of the Lassithi Prefecture,
which boasts some of the loveliest beaches in Crete. It
has retained much of its traditional features, which
have not been ruined by the settlement’s excellent
tourist infrastructure.
Nightlife and dining venues can be found in abundance
along the beachfront, while many historical sites are
scattered in and around the village. Elounda is situated
approximately 10 km from Agios Nikolaos, the capital and
the main port of the prefecture.
